Whenever windows starts there are many programs run behind the scene and of course you do not know or as we say you do not care about them because your concern is only your desktop and open your desire application. But wait... Its not always happened all the time, like One day you start your computer and wait to see the desktop but your computer is keep loading files and after 5 to 10 minutes It shows your desktop.
The problem is that numerous applications are running behind the scene and they are also being loaded with windows and they grow time to time more longer. like a new computer takes 20 seconds whereas an old computer can take several minutes.
You need to check what suspicious files are being run during boot up, as you know the built in utility of Microsoft MSCONFIG, you may use that but MSCONFIG has limitations You may not realize this, but there is a very powerful tool available Autoruns, its free utility.
Autoruns can be use to find out the cause that what process is taking too much time to load.
